Beskrivning
Copper engraving by François Spierre after Pietro da Cortona originates from series engravings after the lunettes, which were painted by Pietro da Cortona between 1641 and 1647 in three halls of the Pitti Palace in Florence, published by Giovanni Giacomo De Rossi in Rome, 1691.
François Spierre (1639–1681) was a French painter and engraver born in Nancy. He trained under François de Poilly in Paris before moving to Rome in 1659, where he produced some of his most notable works.
