This set of three engravings presents detailed architectural elevations and floor plans of classical-style residential buildings. Each sheet illustrates a frontal façade of a multi-story structure accompanied by its corresponding ground plan. The engravings showcase Neufforge’s signature symmetrical composition, careful proportions, and ornamental balance. The elegant French inscriptions above and below the illustrations serve both an aesthetic and instructional purpose, contributing to the plates’ historic value as part of an 18th-century architectural education corpus.
The drawings were originally intended for publication in Neufforge’s monumental compendium of over 900 architectural plates, which had a significant influence on architectural standards in the late Enlightenment period across Europe
