Giocondo Albertolli (1742–1839) was an Italian architect, painter, and decorator, known for his significant contributions to neoclassical architecture and interior design. Born in Como, Italy, he initially studied architecture and went on to work as a professor of architecture and design in Milan. Albertolli's work reflected the neoclassical style that was prominent during the late 18th and early 19th centuries, with an emphasis on simplicity, symmetry, and the revival of classical elements from ancient Greek and Roman architecture. He is best remembered for his architectural designs and his detailed frescoes, which adorned various public and private buildings in northern Italy.
