Very rare old master engraving by Pieter Coecke van Aelst depicting Emperor Charles V as the mythical giant Druon Antigoon. Coecke van Aelst was one of the most prominent Dutch artists and engravers of the 16th century, known for his exceptional works and contributions to Flemish art.
Pieter Coecke van Aelst (1502–1550) was a prominent Flemish painter, draughtsman, and engraver during the Northern Renaissance.
