This chromolithography is from Alexander Nay and Johan August Berg's work ”Sverige Framstäldt i taflor”, (Sweden Depicted in Plates). The work was published by Albert Bonniers Förlag in Göteborg, 1850-56.
Alexander Nay (1822–1882) was a German-Swedish lithographer, illustrator, and watercolorist. He contributed to several topographical works, including Sverige Framstäldt i Taflor, illustrating scenes of Swedish landscapes and architecture. Nay also produced lithographs for works such as Herrgårdar uti Södermanland and Uplands Herregårdar. He worked in Copenhagen before moving to Stockholm, where he became a prominent figure in Swedish lithography. His works are represented in various museums, including Nationalmuseum and Göteborgs konstmuseum.
Johan August Berg (1818-1902) was a Swedish artist and lithographer. He is best known for his detailed and decorative works, often focusing on Swedish landscapes, architecture, and historical themes. Berg's lithographs contributed significantly to the documentation of Sweden's cultural and natural heritage in the 19th century. His works were widely appreciated for their precision and artistic value.
