Bilder Pablo Picasso (1881–1973) – Amazone à cheval, 10.3.59 – Lithograph from Toros y Toreros, First Edition (1961)

Beskrivning
This original lithograph by Pablo Picasso, dated March 10, 1959, was published in 1961 as part of the first edition of Toros y Toreros. The composition captures a striking female rider on horseback, rendered with dynamic lines and vivid blocks of colour in red, yellow, blue, and green. Created during Picasso’s late period, the work merges expressive gesture with the theatrical flair of the Spanish corrida, reimagining traditional themes through modernist form. This edition was printed by Mourlot in Paris and published by Cercle d’Art. The Toros y Toreros series is considered one of Picasso’s most personal and energetic visual commentaries on bullfighting, femininity, and performance.
Pablo Picasso (1881–1973) was one of the most influential figures in modern art, and his late works reflect a liberated approach to form and subject. Toros y Toreros is among the most significant series from his final decades.
