Volumes I–VI (of 12) in 3 volumes. Augsburg, Selbstverlag, 1750–54. 4° (20.5 x 16 cm). With 4 engraved frontispieces, 24 partly folded copper engravings (one printed on both sides), 3 full-page text engravings, a double-sided woodcut plate, and woodcut text illustrations. Contemporary leather bindings (spines partially worn, scuffed, and bumped). Reference: ZDB 552526-3. Hayn/Gotendorf IV, 430: "An important encyclopedia addressing contemporary issues of the time." Details on the total number of copper engravings and other illustrations published with this work were not found. Includes illustrations on human and animal deformities, sea monsters, the construction of an air machine, agricultural tools, lamps and stoves, religious martyrdoms, spiders, garden and city planning, and a woodcut of a rattlesnake believed to possess magical powers.
