This map originates from William Faden's work ”General Atlas”, published in London, 1800.
William Faden (1750–1836) was a British cartographer and engraver, renowned for his detailed maps and atlases during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He served as Geographer to the King and is best known for producing maps that were highly regarded for their accuracy and quality, including military and colonial maps.
Louis Stanislas d'Arcy de La Rochette (1731–1802) was a French cartographer who worked in Britain during the late 18th century. He is known for his high-quality maps and contributed to the development of geographical works during this period, often collaborating with prominent cartographers such as William Faden.
