This set includes two vibrant chromolithographic plates from Adalbert Seitz’s renowned entomological series Die Gross-Schmetterlinge der Erde (The Macrolepidoptera of the World), published in Stuttgart between 1909 and 1915 by Fritz Lehmann's Verlag. One plate features Hestina kallima, a striking butterfly with orange and black markings and leaf-mimicking camouflage. The second highlights Junonia eriboea, a colorful tropical species known for its vivid wing patterns. These scientifically precise and visually stunning illustrations exemplify the golden age of entomological art.
