This richly illustrated map titled Asiæ Nova Delineatio was published in 1835 by Schneider & Weigel in Nuremberg as part of the pedagogical atlas Atlas von der ganzen Welt für junge Leute. The map offers a detailed depiction of Asia, stretching from the Middle East and India through Central Asia and China to Japan and Southeast Asia, and includes the northern coasts of Australia, labeled as Nova Hollandia. Geographical features and political divisions are shown with Latin labels, and regional borders are highlighted with hand-applied coloring. The lower left corner features an ornate allegorical cartouche with exotic animals such as an elephant, camel, and lion, alongside figures in traditional dress—reflecting the 19th-century European perception of Asia as a land of wonder and diversity.
