Bilder Jean-Paul Riopelle (1923–2002) – Abstract Composition – Lithograph (1974)

Beskrivning
This original 1974 lithograph by Jean-Paul Riopelle features an abstract composition rendered in dynamic black lines, layered with bold orange and grey fields of color. The work reflects Riopelle’s expressive, gestural style and his signature integration of motion, rhythm, and texture within non-figurative structures. A leading figure of the Canadian Automatistes and later associated with the European Art Informel movement, Riopelle's art bridges the gap between abstraction and emotional immediacy.
Jean-Paul Riopelle (1923–2002) was one of Canada’s most celebrated modern artists. After training in Montreal, he moved to Paris where he became a close associate of André Breton and a contemporary of artists such as Joan Mitchell and Pierre Soulages. His career spanned painting, printmaking, and sculpture, and his works are held in major museums worldwide.
