This antique engraving titled Ichnographia Templi Pacis presents a detailed floorplan of the Temple of Peace in Rome, with an inset map above depicting the Forum Romanum and its surrounding structures. The print was published in the 1704 Dutch edition of Beschryving van Oud en Nieuw Rome by François Desseine, originally released in French in 1690. The work is known for its refined quality and precision, often compared to the engravings of Piranesi. The richly composed plate combines archaeological accuracy with decorative elements and was engraved by Jan Goeree after an anonymous original drawing.

Jan Goeree (1670–1731) was a Dutch engraver, illustrator, and poet. Born in Middelburg, he later settled in Amsterdam and became a student of Gerard de Lairesse. He is best known for his elaborate emblematic and historical engravings. In 1705, Goeree was commissioned by the Mayor of Amsterdam to design ceiling paintings for the city's old town hall. His work reflects the transition from late Dutch classicism to the more decorative style of the 18th century.
