Bilder Eduardo Chillida (1924–2002) – Derrière le Miroir No. 242 – Edition de tête with Two Signed Embossed Prints – Original Artist's Book (1980)

Beskrivning
This is the deluxe "édition de tête" of Derrière le Miroir No. 242, published in 1980 by Maeght Éditeur in Paris, entirely dedicated to Spanish sculptor Eduardo Chillida. The publication includes two original signed embossings (embossed prints) created specifically for this edition, alongside three construction studies printed on transparent paper and numerous full-color illustrations. The issue was produced in a limited edition of only 150 copies, each numbered and hand-signed by the artist in pencil. This final DLM issue dedicated to Chillida is a striking example of his spatial and material investigations, uniting sculptural sensitivity with graphic experimentation.
Eduardo Chillida (1924–2002) was a renowned Basque sculptor known for his monumental abstract works in iron, steel, and concrete. His oeuvre often explored the relationship between mass, void, and architecture, with recurring interest in form, space, and poetic abstraction. Chillida’s collaborations with Derrière le Miroir and the Maeght Foundation reflect his deep engagement with the French art scene and the visual language of modernist reduction.
