Beskrivning
Original Latin title: Dalmatia et Albania cum proximis regionibus & parte maris Adriatici. This antique map depicts the eastern Adriatic coastline, covering the historical regions of Dalmatia and Albania as well as parts of present-day Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and northern Albania. It includes detailed geographical features such as rivers, mountains, islands, and cities, with rich coastal topography and hand-applied colouring along the shorelines. The decorative cartouche features allegorical figures representing navigation and geography. The map was published in Nuremberg in the early 18th century as part of a broader effort to document the regions of Europe with clarity and artistic embellishment.
