Theodor de Bry was a Flemish-German engraver, publisher, and bookseller. He is most famous for his two monumental series of travel accounts, the Grands Voyages (focused on the Americas) and the Petits Voyages (focused on Africa and Asia). His detailed engravings were instrumental in shaping the European visual understanding of global exploration and foreign cultures during the late 16th century.
