Johannes Sadeler I was a Flemish printmaker, publisher, and draftsman who belonged to the highly influential Sadeler family of artists. He established a major international print publishing business, known for his masterful engraving technique and his extensive production of religious and mythological prints after designs by prominent contemporary artists, circulating Mannerist styles throughout Europe.
