Beskrivning
This copperplate engraving is a detailed early geographical map of the County of Namur (Namurcum), a historic region in the Low Countries (modern Belgium). The map illustrates the region's physical and political geography, prominently featuring the Meuse River and stylized representations of dense forests. It also shows adjacent territories, including parts of Brabant, Liège, and Luxembourg. The title is contained within an ornate strapwork cartouche featuring a small town view. The map originates from the first major descriptive survey of the Low Countries.
