Georges-Louis Le Rouge was a highly prolific French cartographer, engineer, and publisher who worked from the mid to 18th Century. He served as the Geographer to King Louis XV and is renowned for his extensive output, which included detailed military plans, coastal charts, and influential pattern books on garden architecture. His works are noted for their decorative cartouches and precision in documenting both global and regional geography.
