"Italie Ancienne par C. V. Monin." The composition features a simple decorative title cartouche in the upper right and several linear scales in the lower right, including French leagues and Roman miles. Various regions such as Etruria, Latium, and Campania are delineated with delicate hand-coloured borders in red, blue, and green. This engraving was published in the Petit Atlas National des Départements de la France et de ses Colonies in Paris by Monin himself. The work served as an educational and historical reference, identifying ancient tribal territories, cities, and geographical features known from classical literature.
