Beskrivning
"Verm. Gegenst." illustrates two scenes related to the Great Pyramid of Giza arranged in horizontal registers. The upper section depicts a group of travelers and guides atop the massive stone blocks of the pyramid's summit, looking out over the surrounding desert landscape. The lower section provides an interior view of a steep descending passage, showing figures with torches navigating the narrow architectural space.
