Frans Hogenberg was a German-Flemish engraver, etcher, and publisher who worked across Antwerp, Mechelen, and Cologne. He is best known for his contribution to the seminal work of urban cartography, the Civitates Orbis Terrarum, which he created with Georg Braun. His prints are recognized for their historical accuracy and artistic detail, providing invaluable records of European cities during the late 16th century
