This lithograph is from the famous French series Les Maîtres de l'Affiche (The Masters of the Poster). It was issued as a special plate for subscribers. The print depicts a figure in a harlequin costume from the back, a common subject in late 19th-century French art. It is a work created for the series published by Imprimerie Chaix in Paris, France.
Henri Boutet was a French illustrator, engraver, and artist. He was known for his elegant and detailed depictions of Parisian life and fashion during the Belle Époque. He created numerous prints and illustrations for magazines and various publications.
