Beskrivning
"Amerique Septentrionale" is a hand-coloured etching depicting the North American continent, including parts of Central America and the West Indies. Published by the Delamarche firm in Paris in 1827, the map illustrates territorial divisions before many major westward expansions were fully realized. The work was originally part of the Atlas de la Geographie, a prominent educational and reference resource of the time.
Felix Delamarche was a French geographer and map publisher active during the early nineteenth century. He was the son of Charles-Francois Delamarche, who founded one of the most significant French map publishing houses of the era.
