"L'Europe avant l'invasion des barbares" illustrates the political landscape and regional boundaries of Europe prior to the period of migration and barbarian incursions. This map was published by the Delamarche firm in Paris in 1827. 

Felix Delamarche was a French geographer and map publisher active during the early nineteenth century. He was the son of Charles-Francois Delamarche, who founded one of the most significant French map publishing houses of the era. Felix continued his father's legacy by updating and expanding the firm's geographical works and atlases. His contributions helped maintain the Delamarche family's reputation for producing accessible and widely distributed cartographic materials.
