This is a copperplate engraving, a devotional holy card intended for religious meditation. It originates from a series of three hundred sixty-five daily saints produced in Augsburg, Germany, during the mid-18th century. The German text provides spiritual reflection on the life of Saint Clement and themes of self-denial for the papacy.
