"Prince Tunguse, ou Prince Tunguse, nommé Laitul-ka." This engraving illustrates a central figure holding a small, sun-like idol or ritual object, accompanied by another figure in traditional headwear and a child holding a bow within a rural landscape. The technical nature is a copper engraving integrated into a page of French text. It was published in Voyages de Corneille le Bruyn par la Moscovie, en Perse, et aux Indes Orientales, printed in Amsterdam by Frères Wetstein. This work is significant for its ethnographic documentation of the Tungusic peoples of Siberia, providing early eighteenth-century European readers with detailed visual records of their unique social hierarchy, spiritual artifacts, and traditional dress.
