"TABLEAU ANALYTIQUE DES DIFFĂRENS SYSTĂMES DU MONDE." This engraving illustrates various astronomical and geographical concepts, featuring central diagrams of the Copernican and Ptolemaic systems alongside depictions of celestial and terrestrial globes. The technical nature is a copper engraving. It was published in the Atlas de la GĂ©ographie, printed in Paris by the Maison Delamarche. Felix Delamarche was a French geographer and engineer who continued the esteemed cartographic legacy of his father, Charles-François Delamarche. Operating from the family workshop in Paris, he specialized in the production of globes, maps, and educational atlases that were widely utilized in French schools and scientific institutions. His primary contribution was the updating and dissemination of geographical knowledge during the Restoration period, maintaining a high standard of clarity and detail. Delamarcheâs publications remain important examples of the evolution of scientific education and the popularization of astronomy and geography in the nineteenth century.
