Beskrivning
"Hamburg" features a panoramic skyline view of the city of Hamburg from the Elbe river, identified by a large flowing banner and alphabetical keys to prominent churches and landmarks. Below the topographical view, the page includes a second woodcut illustrating a duel between two armored swordsmen, related to the legendary founding history of the city. This work is a woodcut from a German edition of the Cosmographia, published by Heinrich Petri in Basel.
