Sebastian Münster was a renowned German cartographer, cosmographer, and scholar. His Cosmographia (first published in 1544) was the first comprehensive description of the known world in the German language, featuring maps, city views, and woodcuts that greatly influenced geographical and ethnographic thought in Renaissance Europe.
