This engraving is from the monumental encyclopedia Encyclopaedia Londinensis; or, Universal Dictionary of Arts, Sciences, and Literature, published by John Wilkes in London in 1797. John Wilkes was a prominent British publisher, bookseller, and stationer based in London.
