Beskrivning

This biblical engraving depicts the scene of Esther Before King Ahasuerus, a pivotal moment from the Old Testament Book of Esther. The scene is set in an elaborate Renaissance palace interior. Queen Esther is shown kneeling before the enthroned King Ahasuerus, who extends his scepter toward her. She is supported by her maidservants, while royal guards and other figures observe the interaction. The image dramatically captures the moment when Esther risks her life to save her people.
